GREEN DRINK DIET
Looking for a new and healthy way to jump-start your morning? Are you tired of the damaging effects of caffeine from your usual morning coffee? I have been cutting back on coffee recently and replacing it with green juices and smoothies. Don’t get me wrong, I still indulge in a low calorie coffee every now and then but I have found that the energy I get from my juice is much better! There is no crash and no cravings! These drinks are FULL of vitamins and nutrients that almost immediately enter your blood stream after your first sip!
Here is just one example of a coffee alternative green drink:
2 oranges (peeled)
1 bunch wheatgrass
If you are not a fan of pulp I would recommend juicing your oranges before adding them to your blender!
Wheatgrass is a high-alkaline and nutrient dense food. Although by itself wheatgrass does have a potent flavor, it mixes perfectly with the bright citrus flavors from the oranges!
