Sunday Workout

Today was the first day back in the weight room since before Christmas! I know, I look like a huge slacker but I have actually been on a break from weights and started a new focus on flexibility and core strength. My gym membership allows access to many amazing classes, yoga being one of them. I had never done yoga in a group setting before I moved to San Diego but I was always interested in the practice. In preparation for the holidays I put my body through some vigorous conditioning and lifting. As soon as the holidays were over I decided to give my muscles a break! It was then I introduced yoga into my daily routine. The results really did amaze me. Although I was convinced that my body would look horrible without the hard conditioning it was use to, I was proven wrong. Yoga has shown me so many new ways to grow, build, and love my body. It not only cleanses the mind but it gives you a new appreciation for a different kind of workout. In my opinion, it is essential to incorporate any type of yoga into your weekly routine. Your muscles will thank you!
